I’ve had a ‘personal’ web space for some time now, I’ve mostly used it as a place to host personal projects I create in my spare time. I’ve wanted to create my own blog for a long while however, I’ve never had the time or anything interesting to post about!
Last year I started to develop a website where people could easily locate the Pepakura files they wanted. The only problem was, it never truly took off and due to funding I had to put the project on hold. I aim to re-launch the site in the near future but there are features id like to develop but don’t have the knowledge to code the features myself. This got my thinking, ‘Maybe its time I learnt a new language’.
I saw an advertisement on facebook for Udemy having a sale on the majority of their causes which took my interest. I clicked the ad and within about the space of half an hour I’d spent 30£ on three courses;
- Learn to Code by Making Games
- PHP for Beginners: How to Build an E-Commerce Store
- The Unreal Engine Developer Course – Learn C++ & Make Games
I aim to complete these by the end of the year. I’ve already started the Unity course and cannot wait to start blogging about what I’ve learnt and even show case what i’ve created! I will also post other things i find interesting and what i get up to.
Furthermore, the code language i’ll be learning is the same used at my new job, Chevin therefore It’ll help (potentially) my career as i’ll be able to understand the code more, leading to more ticket closures!
